The Northwest B.C. Grizzly Bear Discover Tour is a must for those looking to photograph grizzlies in a variety of absolutely stunning locations. The first two days of the tour begin with an hour jet boat ride to various remote coastal estuaries where we stakeout the bears from the safety of the boat while exploring the side channels of a sedge grass lined estuary. We will also have opportunity to explore the rivers by jet boating up beautiful valleys. Guests will be pampered at the magnificent Yellow Cedar Lodge on the banks of the Skeena River for the first three nights, as we use this for our base. The following two nights will be spent at the Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge in the heart of a grizzly bear sanctuary. It is the only lodge within the conservancy and it offers an opportunity to enjoy all the comforts of home with plenty of room to stretch out and take in the awe-inspiring neighborhood.

June is prime feeding time for the coastal Grizzly Bears because they have recently emerged from hibernation and are hungry for the succulent sedge grass that grows along the coastal estuaries. These lush green fields of grass provide an amazing backdrop for the photographer to capture that perfect image. The tour will include a variety of guest speakers who will share their expertise and passion for this amazing northwest B.C. species.

Highlights include:
• Jet boating up remote coastal rivers
• Experiencing grizzly bears in the native habitat
• Learning about bears from local experts
• Float plane access to the Khutzeymateen
• Exploring a variety of rivers, estuaries and locations every day
• Amazing accommodation, meals and hospitality
