Security

Author: Sarah Elliott (Manager, Security & Risk)

Security is here to help us.  They are responsible for:

  • Emergency First Aid
  • Lost and Found
  • Safe Walk Program
  • Security Patrols
  • Campus Information
  • 24/7 point of contact for International Travel
  • 24/7 point of contact for Field Trips

Security will also open your office for you if you are locked out, but they may not be available instantly – they have the whole campus to patrol and if they are dealing with a situation you may have to wait, at times 30-45 minutes.  It is best, if during the week, you contact one of the Administrative Assistants. They have master keys.

Security will also provide entry for your Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants, Student Assistants, etc to your offices or labs.  You must complete an on-line office access form that can be found at:

http://www.unbc.ca/security/room_access_form.html

or you can advise your Administrative Assistant by email and they will provide access to your office.

Field trip forms need to be faxed to security.
